Shiloh and Carl’s wedding is coming up in September on one of our favorite islands, Orcas. We had a fun time photographing them for their engagement session around Georgetown and then ending up at Alki. We were looking forward to their wedding ever since they first contacted us, then even more excited after their engagement session here in Seattle (if you missed that post, check it out here). The hot weather and sunshine was an added plus! Both tea ceremonies were wonderful and touching, tears were shed by all. The wedding banquet was a blast with great entertainment, people and food. Below is a sneak peak from the Los Angeles event. We are excited for tomorrow when we get to photograph their wedding in Seattle! Check back to see images from that event! There was a Q & A after the film which lasted about an hour and a half and was very insightful and enlightening.  Lisa Dupar catering was on hand with her signature food stylings and it was amazing.   Tom Skerritt showed as well as a lively Siff crowd for this exciting evening.

My friend Patrick, a fellow photographer, and I made an overnight trek that yielded some mighty fine still images and as you are about to see, motion pictures. I’ve been to Mount Rainier many times but this was very unique in that the weather was absolutely perfect for photography when we arrived as the sun went down and when we woke in the morning. I set my 5D Mark II on tripod, aimed it at Rainier and walked out to catch a glimpse of the rising sun. It was priceless. If you listen closely you can hear the rocks crunch beneath my boots, it was that still and quite out there. I know it looks like I shot this in front of a green screen and dropped the mountain in in post, but sadly I had to work really hard climbing up the mountain, sleeping in 20 degree weather just to get this great shot!

When the sun is out and the spring blossoms are blooming, Seattle is such a pretty city. Springtime is also a great time for photo shoots. A couple of weeks ago Loni & Tom had their engagement shoot done, we photographed the entire engagement session at the University of Washington while the cherry blossoms were still in bloom. We are looking forward to their wedding day in May!

Dressed up, 80′s style, they had the opportunity to mix and mingle, have their hair and make-up done, get their prom photo taken and eat and drink punch, spiked punch that is! Over 300 of Seattle’s Elite Yelpers showed up at Spitfire in Belltown for this very fun event!  Brian and I had a very fun time covering this event, brought back a lot of memories!



Prom guests were treated to some cool goodies!

Life moves pretty fast. You don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
