We took a little road trip down to California, driving for 16 hours from Seattle to San Francisco the first day. It was a looooong, but fun drive. We then headed to Anaheim where we met my parents and had a fun time with Cole at Disneyland. Cole loved the roller coasters! Then it was off for some fun in San Diego. On the drive back we stopped over at Yosemite National Park for a day and then Dunsmuir for a day. Dunsmuir is such a quaint and cute little town with the friendliest people, you have to drive through it if you’re ever in the area. Since we’ve been back, we’ve had a couple of weddings and engagement shoots, so we’re now playing catch up. Here are some pics from out trip.

Cole celebrated Chinese New Year at his Montessori school last week. They had a dragon and noise makers to ward off the evil spirits. I love his rat head piece that they made in school.

Can’t believe it’s already 2008, almost a decade since the big Y2K scare that had everyone in a panic. Hope everyone had a great holiday season and wishing everyone a great 2008!! I’ve been cleaning like a mad person trying to get rid of the clutter all the while we’re trying to complete the remodel on the studio. I have been on the hunt for a cool business card holder, because I just can’t do that Rolodex rotaries thing, bleeeck. I found this site, if your looking for stylish office supplies and accessories, it’s called “See Jane Work“. They have some cool stuff for the office.

elegant, fun, cool…..Seattle had it’s first blast of snow this past Saturday, what a great way to start off the holiday season! Stephanie Cristalli and Jeff Beck put together a holiday dance party at their home. Their home and garage turned dance hall was elegantly designed and decorated by Athena of Athena Flora who provided the flowers and materials for the decor. We had a fun time and got in a few shots with our point and shoot.
here’s a fun shot of stephanie, jen and i.

later i got this great shot of laurel mcconnell’s forearm.

the always amazing savanah kent

…. and here is jen and adam (of la vie photography & junebug weddings) with his eyes glowing red like the star hanging in the window. I could have turned it black and white but it was just too funny.

We photographed a really beautiful wedding this past Saturday 10.20.07 at Bacon Mansion on Capitol Hill, just a few blocks from where we use to live. We had Seattle’s Fall rainy weather, luckily the wedding was indoors. Keep checking back for images from our recent weddings. We’re still trying to play catch up.
We have finally made a little progress on the studio, yay! The center wall has been taken out and we’ve painted the meeting room area. Lighting and flooring is next to get done. The other half of the studio is still gutted and we hope to get that done as soon as possible, so we can move our computers and filing cabinets out of our make shift office in Cole’s room.

these mushrooms pop up in our yard every Fall
