The day couldn’t have been better on 07.18.09 at Brew Creek Lodge in Whistler, BC. Perfect weather, an excellent venue and this amazing couple tying the knot. We had the most fabulous time shooting Denise and Rolf’s wedding! Family and friends from as far away as Sweden and Norway traveled to witness the wonderful event. In the Swedish tradition, there were a lot of speeches during the reception. The speeches by close family and friends were some of the funniest and well put together speeches I’ve heard at a wedding! There are few words to describe such charming and gracious people, there, I got two in…. lets just let the pictures describe them for you.

Vincent and Vivian were married on 05.09.09 at St. Andrew’s-Wesley United Church in Vancouver, BC and held their reception at Kirin Seafood Restaurant in Richmond, BC. We totally lucked out with the weather that day! Vince and Vivian were great to work with, they are an awesome couple with a great sense of humor! The morning for us started at 8:30am with Vince and Vivian getting ready for the day’s events that lasted throughout the day and into late evening. It was a beautiful traditional Chinese Wedding with lots of fun games, tea ceremonies and seriously good food! Vivian had several outfit changes during the day, starting with the Chinese qua, then into here wedding dress and then the cheong sum. They were great models for us as we drove all around Vancouver for photo ops, so was the bridal party. Don’t miss their slide show below.

gordon + miwa maui destination wedding

Our destination wedding to Maui was so much fun! Gordon and Miwa are such a sweet, easy going couple, we had a wonderful time photographing their wedding in Hawaii on the island of Maui! The weather was sunny and 80 degrees. They celebrated their wedding on May 3rd at the Maui Prince Hotel and held their reception at Spago in the Four Seasons in Wailea. Family and friends as far away as Japan flew in to help them celebrate their wedding day. During the reception, Miwa changed into a beautiful kimono and her sister, a singer / song writer in Japan, together with her friend, performed for everyone. Thank you Gordon and Miwa for having us there to photograph your wedding day!!
